The Power of the Gospel

The Power of the Gospel – When you know Jesus Christ and Him Crucified, then you know the most important work.

1Co 2:2 for I determined to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified.

1Co 2:3 I also was with you in weakness and fear, and in great trembling,

1Co 2:4 and my message and my preaching were not in persuasive words of wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power,

1Co 2:5 so that your faith would not rest on the wisdom of mankind, but on the power of God.

There was a great demonstration of the power of the Holy Spirit because the message was concerning the Gospel. The Holy Spirit responds to the Gospel message more than any other message.

The Gospel saves

Rom 1:16 for I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.

Rom 10:9 that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved;

This Gospel saves us in every area of our life; body, soul, spirit and mind. It saves our soul, gives physically healing, it puts to death our old nature, heals our brokenness, heals any emotional hurt, delivers us from all evil spirits, sets us free from any addiction, sets us free from lack and poverty and gives us the Baptism of the Holy Spirit as our strength to live the Christian life and serve God. It also gives us a new nature when Christ was resurrected. This is why the preaching of this Gospel is for Christians as well as the lost until we are complete in Christ.

https://christcrosscrucified.com/

The message of the Gospel produces faith

Rom 10:16 However, they did not all heed the good news; for Isaiah says, “LORD, WHO HAS BELIEVED OUR REPORT?”

The Gospel message in Isaiah 53 is the central message that produces faith to believe in complete salvation. It is no coincidence that Isaiah 53:4-5 are the very center of the Bible. This is how we know that the Bible we have is the true Bible and others with added books are not true.

Rom 10:17 so faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ. The word of Christ in this passage is Isaiah 53. This word produces faith.

Ephesians 2:8 for by grace you have been saved through faith; and this is not of yourselves, it is the gift of God;

Ephesians 2:13 but now in Christ Jesus you who previously were far away have been brought near by the blood of Christ.

The message of the Gospel transforms lives

Luke 4:18 THE SPIRIT OF THE LORD IS UPON ME, BECAUSE HE ANOINTED ME TO BRING GOOD NEWS TO THE POOR. HE HAS SENT ME TO PROCLAIM RELEASE TO CAPTIVES, AND RECOVERY OF SIGHT TO THE BLIND, TO SET FREE THOSE WHO ARE OPPRESSED

The preaching of the Gospel produces miracles

Mar 16:15 and He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.

Mar 16:20 and they went out and preached everywhere, while the Lord worked with them, and confirmed the word by the signs that followed.

Satan wounded by the Cross

Gen 3:15 and I will make enemies of you and the woman, and of your offspring and her Descendant; He shall bruise you on the head, and you shall bruise Him on the heel.

2Co 2:11 so that no advantage would be taken of us by Satan, for we are not ignorant of his schemes.

We overcome the devil by the crucifixion

Rev 12:11 and they overcame him because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their testimony, and they did not love their life even when faced with death.

Rev 12:12 for this reason, rejoice, you heavens and you who dwell in them. Woe to the earth and the sea, because the devil has come down to you with great wrath, knowing that he has only a short time.

The center of the Bible and message

Isa 53:4 however, it was our sicknesses that He Himself bore, and our pains that He carried; yet we ourselves assumed that He had been afflicted, Struck down by God, and humiliated.

Isa 53:5 but He was pierced for our offenses, He was crushed for our wrongdoings; the punishment for our well-being was laid upon Him, and by His wounds we are healed.

The message of the Gospel puts the devil under our feet

Luke 10:9 and heal those in it who are sick, and say to them, ‘The kingdom of God has come near to you.’

Luke 10:18 and He said to them, “I watched Satan fall from heaven like lightning.

Luke 10:19 Behold, I have given you authority to walk on snakes and scorpions, and authority over all the power of the enemy, and nothing will injure you.

Isaiah 53

Isa 53:1 who has believed our report? And to whom has the arm of the LORD been revealed?

God must give revelation about the Gospel. See John 12:38. The people of the day did not believe in Christ as the Messiah. He came to His own (John 1:11) but they did not receive Him even when He displayed His power by performing miracles.

Isa 53:2 For He grew up before Him like a tender shoot, And like a root out of dry ground; He has no stately form or majesty That we would look at Him, Nor an appearance that we would take pleasure in Him.

This was the reason the Jews and religious leaders rejected Christ as being the Messiah. Christ did not come as a conquering King born in a palace with a crown. Christ was born of a woman who was a virgin in a stable of humble means. Jesus Christ appearance was marred more than any man when He was crucified.

Isa 53:3 He was despised and abandoned by men, a man of great pain and familiar with sickness; And like one from whom people hide their faces, He was despised, and we had no regard for Him.

The people of the day despised Christ because He allowed the romans to crucify Him. He experienced pain and sickness was upon Him when He was nailed to the Cross. Because He was beaten beyond recognition people did not want to look at Him.

Isa 53:4 however, it was our sicknesses that He Himself bore, and our pains that He carried; yet we ourselves assumed that He had been afflicted, Struck down by God, and humiliated.

This verse builds faith for the person who hears the Gospel message so that they can be saved. Jesus Christ took all of our sickness and disease upon Himself at the Cross so we would be free from sickness and carried the load of pain upon Himself so we would have freedom from this kind of suffering. Jesus Christ was not being punished for His sins because He committed no sin and was perfect and righteous. Christ shed His blood so we would have forgiveness of sin. Because He poured out His soul and blood by dying on the Cross we have eternal life. Our souls are saved and our bodies are healed because we are forgiven. See Matthew 8:16-17.

https://christcrosscrucified.com/

Isa 53:5 But He was pierced for our offenses, He was crushed for our wrongdoings; the punishment for our well-being was laid upon Him, and by His wounds we are healed. See Matthew 9:1-6. Forgiveness of sins and healing for the body are the same. The work of the Cross covers every area of our lives and saves us completely. We have well-being body, soul, spirit and mind. All emotional hurts were upon Christ at the cross as well as all of our sins. Our old nature was crucified with Christ so we would be a new creation when we believe and become born-again by the Holy Spirit.

He was nailed to the Cross because of our sins and His body was crushed because of our wrongdoings, He took our punishment on Himself so we would have well-being and by His wounds we have healing. Christ became a curse for us so we would be free and have His blessings and promised us the Holy Spirit. See Galatians 3:13-14. Christ became poor only when He was on the Cross because He had nothing and was naked, without food and water and shelter. He took our poverty and lack upon Himself so we would have His riches. See: 2 Corinthians 8:9.

Isa 53:6 all of us, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way; But the LORD has caused the wrongdoing of us all to fall on Him.

All have sinned and have rebelled and gone their own way. Christ took this punishment on Himself on the Cross.

Isa 53:7 He was oppressed and afflicted, Yet He did not open His mouth; like a lamb that is led to slaughter, And like a sheep that is silent before its shearers, So He did not open His mouth.

He was oppressed by the devil and afflicted. He was tormented by the devil in His body and mind so we would be free from evils spirits. He was put to death in our place. He laid His life down freely because of His love for us.

Isa 53:8 by oppression and judgment He was taken away; And as for His generation, who considered That He was cut off from the land of the living for the wrongdoing of my people, to whom the blow was due?

Jesus Christ was sentenced and judged as a criminal at His trial. He did not defend Himself but kept quiet. Christ was not accepted by the people and cut off from relationships so we could be near God by His shed blood. See Ephesians 2:13. We as people should have been punished for our sins but we have been redeemed by Christ shed blood. See Ephesians 1:7.

Isa 53:9 and His grave was assigned with wicked men, Yet He was with a rich man in His death, Because He had done no violence, Nor was there any deceit in His mouth.

Jesus Christ was crucified with two thieves and a rich man named Joseph buried Christ in his own tomb which was new and never had a dead body in it. Christ was not violent and always spoke the truth.

Isa 53:10 but the LORD desired to crush Him, causing Him grief; If He renders Himself as a guilt offering, He will see His offspring, He will prolong His days, and the good pleasure of the LORD will prosper in His hand.

It was the will of God that Christ would be sacrificed on the cross in order to save us. He suffered much so we could be free from punishment. Christ was the Lamb of God Who took away the sins of the world. He was a perfect offering and provided complete salvation into every area of our life. This verse speaks of Christ resurrection because He will see bride which is His offspring and His days have no end because He is an eternal being. Christ is prosperous in all He does and makes us prosperous in our lives as well by putting His blessings upon us.

Isa 53:11 as a result of the anguish of His soul, He will see it and be satisfied; By His knowledge the Righteous One, My Servant, will justify the many, For He will bear their wrongdoings.

Christ poured out His soul and blood on the Cross experiencing sufferings in His body and soul. God the Father was satisfied with this sacrifice because it was perfect. God has all knowledge of everything and knows that a righteous man will rise from the dead. Christ became a Servant when He came to earth to serve the Father and was obedient even to the death of Himself. Therefore many are justified because Christ bore their sin and was resurrected. See: Romans 4:25.

Isa 53:12 therefore, I will allot Him a portion with the great, And He will divide the plunder with the strong, Because He poured out His life unto death, And was counted with wrongdoers; Yet He Himself bore the sin of many, And interceded for the wrongdoers.

Jesus Christ wounded the head of the devil when He was crucified. See: Gen. 3:15. Christ destroyed the works of the devil and gave us power to trample on him so that we can live a victorious life. We are to live a prosperous and successful life in all we do. We have eternal life with Christ and have an abundant life here and now. The spoils have been given to us because Christ laid down His life and saved us. Christ is our Great High Priest and intercedes for us to have the best of life.

Mat 26:6 now when Jesus was in Bethany, at the home of Simon the Leper,

Mat 26:7 a woman (Mary sister of Martha, Brother Lazarus) came to Him with an alabaster vial of very expensive perfume, and she poured it on His head as He was reclining at the table.

Mat 26:8 But the disciples were indignant when they saw this, and said, “Why this waste?

Mat 26:9 “For this perfume could have been sold for a high price and the money given to the poor.”

Mat 26:10 But Jesus, aware of this, said to them, “Why are you bothering the woman? For she has done a good deed for Me.

Mat 26:11 “For you always have the poor with you; but you do not always have Me.

Mat 26:12 “For when she poured this perfume on My body, she did it to prepare Me for burial.

Mat 26:13 “Truly I say to you, wherever this gospel is preached in the whole world, what this woman has done will also be told in memory of her.”

This is the Gospel of the Kingdom of God and gives us a perfect and complete salvation for every area of our life. Glory to God!

This Gospel

This Gospel

Mat 24:14 and This Gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.

The Gospel of the Kingdom of God provides salvation for the total man (body, soul and spirit) that restores us completely in every area of life. God has given us the Kingdom of God when we are saved; therefore our lives are to be just like the risen Savior. We are to be perfect and complete at the time of conversion. This is only possible when the preaching of the Gospel is fully proclaimed.  Because our sins are forgiven and the body of Christ was broken at the Cross and the shed blood of Christ was poured out, we can receive complete Salvation.

Colossians 1:14 in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins. Isa 53:5 But He was pierced for our offenses, He was crushed for our wrongdoings; the punishment for our well-being was laid upon Him, and by His wounds we are healed.

If you have unbelief you are not saved.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish, but have eternal life.

John 3:17 For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but so that the world might be saved through Him.

John 3:18 the one who believes in Him is not judged; the one who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.

If you do not believe in Jesus and all of His Word then you are not saved.

John 5:24 Truly, truly, I say to you, the one who hears My word, and believes Him who sent Me, has eternal life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life.

John 1:1 in the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

John 14:23 Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him.

If you are sick or have any disease or infirmity then you are not saved.

Isa 53:4 however, it was our sicknesses that He Himself bore, and our pains that He carried; yet we ourselves assumed that He had been afflicted, Struck down by God, and humiliated.

If you suffer with depression or any other emotional pain then you are not saved.

1John 3:8 the one who practices sin is of the devil; for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The Son of God appeared for this purpose, to destroy the works of the devil.

Psalms 147:3 He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.

If you continue to sin not knowing that your old nature was crucified then you are not saved.

Gal 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me.

Rom 6:6 knowing this, that our old self was crucified with Him, in order that our body of sin might be done away with, so that we would no longer be slaves to sin.

If you suffer from poverty and lack then you are not saved.

2Co 8:9 for you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sake He became poor, so that you through His poverty might become rich.

If you live under a curse you are not saved.

Gal 3:13 Christ redeemed us from the curse of the Law, having become a curse for us—for it is written: "CURSED IS EVERYONE WHO HANGS ON A TREE"

Gal 3:14 in order that in Christ Jesus the blessing of Abraham would come to the Gentiles, so that we would receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

If you do not prosper and have success then you are not saved.

Deuteronomy 28:3 Blessed will you be in the city, and blessed will you be in the country.

Deuteronomy 28:8 The LORD will command the blessing for you in your barns and in everything that you put your hand to, and He will bless you in the land that the LORD your God is giving you.

Jos 1:8 This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it; for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will achieve success.

If you do not have the Baptism of the Holy Spirit then you are not saved.

Act 19:2 He said to them, “Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?” And they said to him, “On the contrary, we have not even heard if there is a Holy Spirit.” Act 19:6 and when Paul had laid hands upon them, the Holy Spirit came on them and they began speaking with tongues and prophesying.

Act 2:3 and tongues that looked like fire appeared to them, distributing themselves, and a tongue rested on each one of them.

Act 2:4 and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with different tongues, as the Spirit was giving them the ability to speak out.

If you do not love then you are not saved.

1John 3:14 we know that we have passed from death to life, because we love the brethren. He who does not love his brother abides in death.

John 14:15 If you love Me, keep My commandments.

If you are not Holy then you are not saved.

1Peter 1:16 because it is written, "Be holy, for I am holy."

Hebrews 12:14 pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord.

The crucified Savior Jesus Christ is the provision for Salvation the saves mankind in every area of life. Christ was crucified, buried and resurrected for complete and perfect salvation.

The sad thing is that Christians today only have a partial salvation. This is why preachers need to preach the Gospel of the Kingdom of God before the return of Christ. Having complete salvation will prepare us to be the Bride of Christ. Not only are Ministers to teach and preach but to impart the Spirit of Christ to others in order for them to be saved. Ministers can only impart the Salvation that they have received themselves.

Salvation is more than having your soul saved and having a ticket to Heaven. Salvation has been provided for the total man.

Let us preach the Gospel of the Kingdom of God which is a perfect an complete salvation touching every area of our lives.

Truth concerning Easter

Truth concerning Easter

See King James Bible Dictionary and Easton

The celebration of Easter began in the 16th century – it has no roots in Christ. Chocolate bunnies and colored eggs have no place for Godly Christians.

The word for Easter is an Italian word similar in pronunciation as Easter and is a false and manmade god form by heathens – a fertility god (idol) whom the world worshipped with bunnies and eggs at the time of the season of spring, the same time the true believers in Christ celebrated the resurrection. The heathens did this to draw attention from the celebration of Christ resurrection.

https://christcrosscrucified.com/

The resurrection of Jesus Christ has nothing to do with Easter, nor should you refer to the resurrection of Jesus Christ – calling it Easter.

Acts 12:4 is a very poor translation of the Greek word which means Passover. Some translations say the word is Easter - which is very wrong and ungodly.

See: studylight.org for Bible Dictionaries on this subject.

The Gospel of Christ would not be complete without the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. 1 Corinthians 15:3-4

For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures.

https://www.youtube.com/@christcrucifiedsaves

Our (Christians) salvation depends on the resurrection giving us eternal life. 1 Peter 1:3

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.

Our bodies are touched by the resurrection of Christ and have been given new life. Romans 8:11

If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in you.

Jesus Christ is the Resurrection. Because of the life of Christ and the person that He is; He is called the resurrection and life. And that is where our faith rests in Christ Himself. John 11:25-26

Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this?”

Facebook

We should worship the Lord God Almighty and have no other gods before Him. Luke 4:8 and Jesus answered and said to him, “Get behind Me, Satan! For it is written, ‘You shall worship the LORD your God, and Him only you shall serve.’  Exo 20:3 “You shall have no other gods before Me.

Deuteronomy 6:5 “You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength.

Deuteronomy 6:14 “You shall not go after other gods, the gods of the peoples who are all around you.

Let us who are Christians worship The Lord God Almighty and Him only do we worship. Let us not confuse Easter which is a pagan holiday with the resurrection of Christ.

A Humble heart brings the greatest blessings

A Humble heart brings the greatest blessings.

1Peter 5:6 Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time.

Ways we can humble ourselves: One: Confess our sins, Two: Worship, Three: Become a Servant, Four: Prayer and Five: Fasting.

When we confess our sins to another person we are not only speaking the truth about ourselves, but we humbling ourselves. James 5:16 confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed.

When we come before God in Worship by bowing or kneeling or to prostrate ourselves before Him, this expresses a humble heart. Psalms 95:6 Oh come, let us worship and bow down; Let us kneel before the LORD our Maker.

https://christcrosscrucified.com/

Jesus is our example of becoming a servant: Philippians 2:5 Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus,

Philippians 2:6 Who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God,

Philippians 2:7 but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men.

Philippians 2:8 and being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.

Philippians 2:9 therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name.

When we pray and seek God and ask Him for the things we desire we are in a position of being humble before Him because we know He can only give us our needs. Matthew 6:6 “But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.

Fasting is closely related to prayer and usually accompanies prayer, but is much more because we deny ourselves and say to God His will be done in our lives. Matthew 6:17 “But you, when you fast, anoint your head and wash your face,

https://www.youtube.com/@christcrucifiedsaves

Matthew6:18 “so that you do not appear to men to be fasting, but to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly. Psalms 35:13 my clothing was sackcloth; I humbled myself with fasting; and my prayer would return to my own heart.

These are some of the blessings you receive when you humble yourself: Philippians 2:1 therefore if there is any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any affection and mercy,

God promises us His encouragement, comfort, Love, fellowship in the Holy Spirit, affection and mercy when we humble ourselves.

If we want to be lifted out of any difficult or painful situation then humbling ourselves is the only way up. Matthew 23:11 “But he who is greatest among you shall be your servant.

Matthew 23:12 “And whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.

Facebook

1Peter 5:5 be clothed with humility, for “God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.

1Peter 5:6 Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time. 1Peter 5:10 but may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you.

Here are mores promises when you fast: Isaiah 58:5 is it a fast that I have chosen, A day for a man to afflict his soul? Is it to bow down his head like a bulrush, And to spread out sackcloth and ashes? Would you call this a fast, and an acceptable day to the LORD?

Isaiah 58:8 then your light shall break forth like the morning, your healing shall spring forth speedily, and your righteousness shall go before you; The glory of the LORD shall be your rear guard. Isaiah 58:9 Then you shall call, and the LORD will answer;

Isaiah 58:11 The LORD will guide you continually, and satisfy your soul in drought, and strengthen your bones; you shall be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail.

Jesus Heals Immediately

Jesus Heals Immediately

Matthew 8:3 then Jesus put out His hand and touched him, saying, “I am willing; be cleansed.” Immediately his leprosy was cleansed.

Mark 1:42 and as soon as he had spoken, immediately the leprosy departed from him, and he was cleansed.

Mark 10:52 and Jesus said unto him, go thy way; thy faith hath made thee whole. And immediately he received his sight, and followed Jesus in the way.

Mark 2:8 and immediately when Jesus perceived in his spirit that they so reasoned within themselves, he said unto them, why reason ye these things in your hearts?  Mark 2:12 and immediately he arose, took up the bed, and went forth before them all; insomuch that they were all amazed, and glorified God, saying, We never saw it on this fashion.

https://christcrosscrucified.com/

Acts 9:34 and Peter said unto him, Aeneas, Jesus Christ makes you whole: arise, and make thy bed. And he arose immediately.

Mark 5:29 Immediately the fountain of her blood was dried up, and she felt in her body that she was healed of the affliction.

Mark 5:30 and Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that virtue had gone out of him, turned him about in the press, and said who touched my clothes?

Matthew 20:34 so Jesus had compassion on them, and touched their eyes: and immediately their eyes received sight, and they followed him.

Luke 13:13 and he laid his hands on her: and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God.

Luke 5:24 “But that you may know that the Son of Man has power on earth to forgive sins”—He said to the man who was paralyzed, “I say to you, arise, take up your bed, and go to your house.”

Luke 5:25 Immediately he rose up before them, took up what he had been lying on, and departed to his own house, glorifying God.

Acts 9:18 and immediately there fell from his eyes as it had been scales: and he received sight forthwith, and arose, and was baptized.

The Church should be doing healings like Jesus Christ and even greater. John 14:12 “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.

https://www.youtube.com/@christcrucifiedsaves

We as the body of Christ have had all of our sins forgiven and we are not to give in to guilt. Remember you sins have been forgiven at the Cross when Jesus died, was buried and resurrected which is the Gospel and the power of God to save. We also are free from all curses by the crucifixion.

Galatians 3:13 Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”

Galatians3:14 that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

Facebook

We have the character of Christ in us and His life so that we live like Christ and also have His divine power to do miracles to the Glory of God. See:

2Peter 1:1 Simon Peter, a bondservant and apostle of Jesus Christ, to those who have obtained like precious faith with us by the righteousness of our God and Savior Jesus Christ:

2Peter 1:2 Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord,

2Peter 1:3 as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue,

2Peter 1:4 by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

2Peter 1:5 but also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge,

2Peter 1:6 to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness,

2Peter 1:7to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love.

2Peter 1:8 for if these things are yours and abound, you will be neither barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

2Peter 1:9 for he who lacks these things is shortsighted, even to blindness, and has forgotten that he was cleansed from his old sins.
