Revival can happen today

2Ch 7:14 if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.

2Ch 7:15 Now My eyes will be open and My ears attentive to prayer made in this place.

When the Church meets the conditions set forth in 2Chr 7:14 then revival will happen with a great outpouring of the Holy Spirit. Most Churches will say that they have done all 4 things mentioned in this verse. God does not lie and His Word is true. Be honest before God and look again at all four requirements.

Have we humbled ourselves? King David said that He humbled himself with fasting in Psalm 35:13. We can also bow before the Lord and prefer others before us. Have we prayed? Do we pray daily thru out the whole day for revival? Have we set up 24/7 prayer in the Church according to Isa 62? Have we sought the Lord’s face or seek His presence like Mary who was at Jesus’s feet while Martha was serving. Jesus said that Mary choose the better. Do we seek God just to know Him or are we always trying to get our personal needs from Him, like He was a Genie giving out 3 wishes.

The last or fourth requirement for revival is that the Church turn from our wicked ways. This is probably the hardest to do because no one except God really knows our hearts. Jeremiah 17:9 the heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked; who can know it?

Jeremiah 17:10 I, the LORD, search the heart I test the mind, Even to give every man according to his ways, According to the fruit of his doings. Since these things are true about our hearts, then what should we do? Start by praying like this: Psalms 139:23 Search me, O God, and know my heart; try me, and know my anxieties;

Psalms 139:24 and see if there is any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting. Have you ever asked God to reveal your heart to yourself for the purpose of cleansings?

LET US BE HONEST, IF WE DO NOT HAVE REVIVAL IN OUR CHURCHES THEN WE HAVE NOT MET THE FOUR CONDITIONS SET FORTH IN 2 CHR. 7:14.

Psalms 51:9 Hide Your face from my sins, and blot out all my iniquities.

Psalms 51:10 create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. David was honest and did not live in denial and confessed his sins.

The condition of the Church in the end times is revealed to us in the book of Revelation. Rev 2:4 Nevertheless I have this against you, that you have left your first love.

Rev 2:5 remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent and do the first works, or else I will come to you quickly and remove your lampstand from its place—unless you repent. How much do we really love God? Will we lay down our lives for other people like Christ did? If we love God we will do His will and obey all of the scriptures.

Rev 3:17 because you say, ‘I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing’—and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked

Rev 3:18 I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich; and white garments, that you may be clothed, that the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed; and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see.

Can we truly say we have need of nothing and deny how God sees us as: wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked?  We read these scriptures and say that they do not apply to us and yet we do not have revival in our Churches.

We cannot turn from our wicked ways without God’s help. 2Ti 2:25 in humility correcting those who are in opposition, if God perhaps will grant them repentance, so that they may know the truth,

2Ti 2:26 and that they may come to their senses and escape the snare of the devil, having been taken captive by him to do his will.

Repentance is a gift from God and must be obtained by prayer of confession of sin and willingness to repent.  Most of us think that the sins we need to repent of are the big ones that happen in the world, like murder, adultery, theft or dealing in illegal drugs.

The sins and wickedness that the Church needs to recognize are: covertness, complaining, fault finding, impatient, self-seeking and all kinds of self-centeredness. Also: promoting ourselves and wanting others to see our good works and how spiritual we are, wanting the approval and praise of man instead of God’s approval. Other sins are: lifting ourselves up instead of Jesus and with jealousy, gluttony, pointing the finger (casting stones) and not preferring others more important than self. We say we have the baptism of the Holy Spirit and walk in the power of God but the real truth is that we speak in tongues and the rest of the gifts are few and far between. Do we heal like Jesus? Jesus healed immediately, lepers, cripples and blind people. The Bible says we are to do greater miracles then what Jesus did, but the Church today does not even do miracles today equal to Him. Turning from our wicked ways will bring the kind of revival talked about in the Bible into the Church today.

Philippians 2:1 therefore if there is any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any affection and mercy,

Philippians 2:2 fulfill my joy by being like-minded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind.

Philippians 2:3 let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself.

We who are in the Church do we really love like this with affection and mercy and being one with others and consider that others are more important than ourselves?

I challenge everyone to pray this pray seriously before God: Psalms 139:23 Search me, O God, and know my heart; try me, and know my anxieties;

Psalms 139:24 and see if there is any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting. With this work of God we will have revival in our hearts and land today. The Churches will see an great outpouring of the Holy Spirit.
