1Peter 1:17 and if you call on the Father, who without partiality judges according to each one’s work, conduct yourselves throughout the time of your stay here in fear;

Jesus Christ was anointed with the 7 aspects of The Holy Spirit which are the Holy Spirit Himself. How much more do we the body of Christ need this anointing.

Isaiah 11:3 His delight is in the fear of the LORD, and He shall not judge by the sight of His eyes, nor decide by the hearing of His ears;

WORSHIP GOD

 Worship

Worship is defined in basically one word and that word is GIVE. The word

worship means to prostrate or bow before God as an expression of the heart and

the main attitude and intention is one of giving to God the praise and worship that

is due to His Holy Name. Hebrews 13:15 states that let us ALWAYS in our

worship offer the sacrifice of praise by our lips GIVING thanks to His Name.

When we worship we approach God with the attitude of GIVING and not to

receive at that time.

https://christcrosscrucified.com/

Ecclesiastes 3:1 says that there is a time for everything. There is a time to

worship and there is a time to pray and ask God to see His glory. Worship is a

time to GIVE the praise to the Father that is due to His Holy Name. Our words

are very important. Our words in the songs we sing must reflect giving to God

worship and praise or else we are not worshipping God. Our song selection must

be words of giving to God and not receiving from God anything during the time of

worship. We need to have a time just for God and not ourselves.

During worship we do not ask God for more power or to know His presence or to

see His Glory but we focus upon Almighty God with exaltation towards His

greatness and goodness because He is worthy to be praised and no one else.

We proclaim that God is Holy and righteous and blessed during the time of

worship. We should begin worship by saying: Receive our worship today and be

pleased with our praises to YOU Almighty God.

We may be praying to God during our worship time by having songs that are

about us receiving and this is not good. We do not seek to be healed or delivered

during worship. Worship is about God and not about us. Our hearts need to be

centered upon God and as we come, we come to GIVE. We need to put to death

our self-centered mind set. God is only pleased with true worship and anything

else quenches the SPIRIT. We should be able to GIVE to God 45 minutes of

uninterrupted WORSHIP truly focusing upon the Father the whole time. The Holy

Spirit loves to exalt God and worship thru believers in Christ.

https://www.youtube.com/@christcrucifiedsaves

The outpouring of the Holy Spirit is dependent upon true worship. In Psalms

22:3 God is telling us that He is present when we truly Praise Him. God inhabits

or dwells where there is true worship. God will remain and live where there is true

worship and praise. You can ONLY have a move of God or the presence of the

Holy Spirit when you have true worship. We say we want more of God but will we

sacrifice our own desires and GIVE to God the worship that is due to His Holy

Name. We focus too much upon receiving for our selves. It is time to GIVE to

God what He ask for. The Father is searching for a church that will worship Him

in (John 4:23-24) spirit and truth.

This verse says that the hour is come and now is, when the true worshipers shall

worship the Father in spirit and in truth; for the Father is looking for such to

worship Him. God is Spirit; and they that worship Him must worship in spirit and

in truth.

Facebook

John 4:23-24 Here is the breakdown of this verse:

1. The time is now - this generation or church (grace) age.

2. True worshipers vs. false worshipers (any worship not according to God's

Word).

3. The Person we worship (Father). We first praise Jesus because He is the

Way. John 14:6 our goal is to get to the Father. This is the will of Jesus.

4. Our attitude and approach needs to be in spirit and truth. Both are essential in

getting to the Father.

5. The Father is seeking (searching and looking) people who will worship Him the

prescribed way (biblical), in spirit and in truth. Both are necessary.

A. Worship God in the spirit, not in the natural but be led by the Holy Spirit - Rom.

8:14-17

B. Worship God in truth (according to scriptures). John 17:17 and 2 Tim. 2:15 -

The Word of God is truth.

6. God is Spirit - no mention here as to God having a body or a soul. Worship is a

spiritual thing. Our spirit connecting with His Spirit. Worship led by the Holy Spirit

will never go against His written Word.

7. We MUST (if we are going to worship God) worship in spirit and in truth. There

is no other option for true worship. God's way is the only way.

This verse states that we should enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into

His courts with praise; be thankful unto Him and bless His Name. For the Lord is

good; His mercy is everlasting, and His truth endures to all generations.

Ps. 100:4-5.

1. ENTER - His gates. This is a door or starting point for which we come into full

worship.

2. THANKSGIVING is the key to open up the gate. Tell God in word or song for

the things we are grateful for and for all His goodness to us. See Ps. 100:4-5

Thanking God is very powerful in getting into His presence.

3. PRAISE (towards God) will take us into the inner court. This has to do with His

Greatness, Faithfulness etc. In other words His character. Praise will take us to

the inner court but not all the way. Worship is the next step.

This verse states that we need to come before His presence with thanksgiving,

and make a joyful noise unto Him with psalms. For the Lord is a Great God, and

a Great King above all gods. Oh come, Let us worship and bow down. Let us

kneel before the Lord our Maker. Ps. 95:2-3,6.

1. Thanksgiving (1) the gate we come into the presence of God. Vs. 2.

2. Praise (2), which is psalms to God, takes us into the inner court. Speaking and

singing (Heb. 13:15) with joy in our hearts is to be our attitude. Giving to God

Praise and not being focused upon ourselves for what we want from Him.

3. Reason for praise, because He is Great and a King (vs. 3) above all. We also

praise God because He is our creator (vs. 4).

4. Knowledge of ourselves puts us into the right frame of mind to worship -that is

we are created. The creature worships the Creator. This is mentioned in Ps.

100:3. Also in Ps. 95:6 The Lord is our MAKER.

5. Worship (3) takes us all the way into the Holy of Holies, to the Father. Worship

has to do with our posture before God more than our words. To worship God is to

bow and kneel before Him.

6. True worship will open up for us the voice of God (Ps. 95:7). Notice also that

we are called sheep in this passage. Compare this to John 10:27.

In both of these chapters in the book of Psalms we will find that worship has to

do with God only (primarily) and not ourselves. Our focus needs to on Jesus and

the Father when worshiping. Ps. 100:3 says know the Lord and that is we direct

our attention to God and off of ourselves. Notice the phrase in this verse - not we

ourselves. This tells us to take the focus off of ourselves. In Ps. 95:1 it says we

sing unto the Lord - that is to lift (exalt) Him up.

Important:

Some songs we sing in church are prayers and other songs of asking God for

something that are not appropriate for worship. Some of these songs focus upon

ourselves and not God. Our focus needs to be giving to God and not receiving

from God at the time of true worship (Heb. 13:15).

They may be good songs but belong in another function of the church. Worship is

not the time to ask God for something you want, this belongs in a prayer meeting.

There is a time for worship and a time for prayer, just like a time for teaching.

Some songs we sing are us asking God to bless us or for us to be healed or for

us to feel His presence or see His Glory and these songs are just not appropriate

for worship because worship is All about God and giving to God the worship that

is due to His Holy Name.

Songs taken from the book of Psalms and the book of Revelation are the most

powerful worship songs we can get. This verse proclaims: Thou art worthy, O

Lord, to receive glory and honor and power; for Thou hast created all things.

Rev. 4:11.This verse speaks of the Greatness of God and God being our creator.

You will notice the same progression towards worship here in this passage in

revelation as in the book of Psalms. Thanksgiving, Praise and Worship. Rev. 4:9 -

speaks of giving thanks and in vs. 11 we find Praise - giving glory, honor and

power. In vs. 10 we have the Elders falling down on their faces, an act of

worship. In Rev. 7:11-12- you can see that falling on your face (or to prostrate

oneself) is an act of worship. There are more examples of worship in the book of

Revelation; you may want to do your own study.

Jesus says that when He, the Spirit of truth, is come. He will guide you into all

truth; for He shall not speak of Himself. He (Holy Spirit) shall glorify me (Jesus).

John 16:13-14 this is extremely important when worshiping God. Our worship

needs to be directed toward the Father and the Son only. The Holy Spirit leads

us in worship, but never speaks of Himself. The Holy Spirit glorifies Jesus and

the Father but not Himself. The Holy Spirit is the One behind the scenes in

operation with the other members of the trinity. Songs that address the Holy

Spirit and our speaking words of worship to HIM, ARE NOT appropriate for

church worship. The Holy Spirit will not glorify or exalt Himself; He will only lift up

Jesus and the Father. Compare also John 15:26.

In 1 Tim. 3:6 - we have the qualifications for elders. It says, not a novice (new

convert) or young man without experience or training. In verse 10 of the same

chapter it says let him first be proven; back in verse 2 it says he must be able to

teach. Worship leaders need these qualifications as well as Elders. Many

worship leaders are called Ministers of Worship or Music. Worship Leaders need

strong theological and biblical training as well as music in order to minister

effectively. Without sound biblical training and teaching, you may have music

only and not true worship. When we make it all the way to the Father in true

spiritual worship the Holy Spirit will at that point speak to us as to what the Father

says by pouring out gifts of teaching, prophesy etc. in order to build up the body

of Christ.

Suggested format for worship. 1-2 songs of thanksgiving or speaking to God your

personal thanks or a mixture. Then 3-4 songs of Praise, mixed with speaking to

God your praise. Followed by 10 to 15 minutes of Worship by kneeling and

prostrating yourself before God. During this time you should be silent before God.

See 1 Kings 19:12 and Ps. 46:10. You will then hear the voice of God. Allow time

for prophecy, teaching and other gifts of the Spirit after you hear the voice of

God. Give thanks to God for His marvelous ways.

Sample songs for thanksgiving: 1. Give Thanks 2. Make a joyful noise.

Sample songs for praise: 1. Great is the Lord 2. Shout to the Lord 3. He is

Exalted 4.Great is your Faithfulness 5. Blessed be the Lord 6. Hosanna

7. Majesty

Sample songs that take us into worship: 1. Holy Holy Holy 2.Blessing Honor

Glory and Power 3. You are Holy 4. Come let us worship and bow down 5. We

bow down.

RECEIVE THE POWER

RECEIVE THE POWER

Do you want the power? The scriptures will show us how to receive the power. The power is not just some force but the person Himself: The Holy Spirit.

First of all many Christians will think that they have received the Holy Spirit when they received Christ and were born-again. Read This:

Ephesians 1:13 In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise.

https://christcrosscrucified.com/

All Christians have the seal of the Holy Spirit in their life confirming that they are Believers in Christ but that does not mean that they have the power. All Christians have the Spirit of Christ and the Holy Spirit inside of them that is why Christians are the temple of the Holy Spirit. Where is the power?

Christians need power to live a Christian life with the character of Christ and also to have power to be a Witness for Christ doing supernatural works like Christ did and the Apostles. Jesus said that the body of Christ would do greater works then He did.

What did Jesus tell His disciples to do? Luke 24:49 “Behold, I send the Promise of My Father upon you; but tarry in the city of Jerusalem until you are endued with power from on high.”

https://www.youtube.com/@christcrucifiedsaves

The disciples were to wait for the power. When you seek to be filled with the Holy Spirit for power you must wait on God until He comes. Act 1:4 and being assembled together with them, He commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the Promise of the Father, “which,” He said, “you have heard from Me.

The next thing Christians must do in order to receive the power is to pray. Luke 11:13 “If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!”

Yes we must ask the heavenly Father in the name of Jesus Christ for the power of the Holy Spirit. If Christians already have the Holy Spirit when they believe in Jesus why does the scripture say we must ask the Father for the Holy Spirit?

Facebook

After Christ died on the cross, buried and rose from the dead He said that He would ask the Father to send the Holy Spirit and yet the disciples had some power before they were baptized in the Holy Spirit because they could heal and cast out demons. After they were baptized in The Holy Spirit they had even more greater power. This is what it looks like:

Act 1:5 “for John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.”

Act 2:1 When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.

Act 2:2 and suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting.

Act 2:3 then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them.

Act 2:4 and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

When you get the power you will speak in tongues because cloven tongues of fire sat on them which was the baptism of the Holy Spirit which is the power. The power of the Holy Spirit which is the baptism and tongues are inseparable because they are one and the same. Read the whole chapter of Acts 2 and see the power manifested in the believers lives.

Soon you will say: I GOT THE POWER!

Truth concerning Easter

Truth concerning Easter

See King James Bible Dictionary and Easton

The celebration of Easter began in the 16th century – it has no roots in Christ. Chocolate bunnies and colored eggs have no place for Godly Christians.

The word for Easter is an Italian word similar in pronunciation as Easter and is a false and manmade god form by heathens – a fertility god (idol) whom the world worshipped with bunnies and eggs at the time of the season of spring, the same time the true believers in Christ celebrated the resurrection. The heathens did this to draw attention from the celebration of Christ resurrection.

https://christcrosscrucified.com/

The resurrection of Jesus Christ has nothing to do with Easter, nor should you refer to the resurrection of Jesus Christ – calling it Easter.

Acts 12:4 is a very poor translation of the Greek word which means Passover. Some translations say the word is Easter - which is very wrong and ungodly.

See: studylight.org for Bible Dictionaries on this subject.

The Gospel of Christ would not be complete without the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. 1 Corinthians 15:3-4

For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures.

https://www.youtube.com/@christcrucifiedsaves

Our (Christians) salvation depends on the resurrection giving us eternal life. 1 Peter 1:3

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.

Our bodies are touched by the resurrection of Christ and have been given new life. Romans 8:11

If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in you.

Jesus Christ is the Resurrection. Because of the life of Christ and the person that He is; He is called the resurrection and life. And that is where our faith rests in Christ Himself. John 11:25-26

Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this?”

Facebook

We should worship the Lord God Almighty and have no other gods before Him. Luke 4:8 and Jesus answered and said to him, “Get behind Me, Satan! For it is written, ‘You shall worship the LORD your God, and Him only you shall serve.’  Exo 20:3 “You shall have no other gods before Me.

Deuteronomy 6:5 “You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength.

Deuteronomy 6:14 “You shall not go after other gods, the gods of the peoples who are all around you.

Let us who are Christians worship The Lord God Almighty and Him only do we worship. Let us not confuse Easter which is a pagan holiday with the resurrection of Christ.

Tongues and the Baptism of the Holy Spirit

Tongues and the Baptism of the Holy Spirit

Act 2:1 When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.

Act 2:2 and suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting

Act 2:3 then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them.

Act 2:4 and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

https://christcrosscrucified.com/

The baptism of the Holy Spirt and the gift of tongues are one and the same. When the Holy Spirit came He sat upon each of them cloven tongues as of fire; then they were filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke as the Holy Spirit gave them utterance. You cannot say that you have the baptism of the Holy Spirit and not speak in tongues.

https://www.youtube.com/@christcrucifiedsaves

The baptism of the Holy Spirit and the gift of tongues come upon everyone who believes in Jesus and they receive Him the same as on the day of Pentecost.

Act 10:44 while Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit fell upon all those who heard the word.

Act 10:45 and those of the circumcision who believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out on the Gentiles also.

Act 10:46 for they heard them speak with tongues and magnify God. Then Peter answered,

Act 10:47 “Can anyone forbid water, that these should not be baptized who have received the Holy Spirit just as we have?”

The Gentiles received the filling of the Holy Spirt (Baptism) and the gift of tongues at the same time like Peter because the Baptism of the Holy Spirit is the filling of the Holy Spirit and the gift of tongues which are inseparable. We today can have the Baptism of the Holy Spirit and it will be the same as in the beginning.

Facebook

Tongues are for edification, prophesy, prayer and speaking the wonderful things of God. 1 Corinthians14:4-5 He who speaks in a tongue edifies himself, but he who prophesies edifies the church. He who prophesies is greater than he who speaks with tongues, unless indeed he interprets, that the church may receive edification. Tongues edify yourself and the Church when done properly. A public tongue is prophesy given to the Church.  1 Corinthians 14:13-14 therefore let him who speaks in a tongue pray that he may interpret. For if I pray in a tongue, my spirit prays, but my understanding is unfruitful. A Christian has a prayer life by speaking in tongues.

Another important reason why God wants all Christians to speak in tongues is for the blessing of others. As you know that speaking in tongues is speaking in an unknown language to you but someone from that country can understand it. Some tongues are Heavenly languages. 1 Corinthians 13:1 though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love I am just noise.  Heavenly language is what the Angels speak.

A Christian needs to speak in tongues so that his tongue is a blessing to others. James 3:8 but no man can tame the tongue. It is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison. No man can tame the tongue but God can tame the tongue by giving all Christians the gift of tongues which is one with the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Let us be a blessing to the body of Christ by speaking words of edification building up one another in love.

A Child of God has everything!

A Child of God has everything!

Believers in Jesus Christ are not just Christians who are Christlike but they are much more than that: they are Children of God. John 1:12 but as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name.

A Child of God has everything that is in the Kingdom of God. Luke 12:32 Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom. Think about all that the Kingdom of God has: no sickness, no poverty, only love, family and much more.

https://christcrosscrucified.com/

A Child of God should like he knows Jesus and the Father in a close relationship experiencing the same life as Jesus did when He walked on the earth. Jesus was never sick, nor any harm came to Him, always had everything that He needed and performed miracles because His citizenship was in Heaven.

A Child of God is one with Jesus and the Father. Jesus said: John 10:30 I and my Father are one. Then in: John 17:21 “that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me. A Child of God is one with Christ and the Heavenly Father. A Child of God is like Jesus Christ in every way. That would mean in character and in works. A Child of God loves like God.

Jesus Christ death on the cross, burial and resurrection bridges the gap between mankind and the Heavenly Father so that we can have a right relationship with Him. Our sins have been forgiven and we are robed with the righteousness of Christ. We hear Gods voice and follow Him.

https://www.youtube.com/@christcrucifiedsaves

We are right now a citizen of Heaven. Philippians 3:20 for our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ. We need to think, act and live a Child of the Most God. The kind of works that we will do will be just like the same works that Jesus did only greater.

John 14:12 “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. John 14:13 “And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. Jesus is telling us in these verses that we will do the same works that He did.

Facebook

What are the works that Jesus did? Jesus is reading from the prophet Isaiah: Luke 4:18 “The Spirit of the LORD is upon Me, Because He has anointed Me To preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives And recovery of sight to the blind, To set at liberty those who are oppressed; Luke 4:19 To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD.

First of all a Child of God need the baptism of the Holy Spirit in order to be Called a Child of God. Acts 1:5 for John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now. Ephesians 5:18 and do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit, We are commanded to be filled with the Holy Spirit because He is the one Who gives us revelation of the things pertaining to the Kingdom of God the Father and Jesus Christ, otherwise we would not know that we are Children of God.

Knowing that I am a Child of God and not just a Christian has revolutionized my life. I live about circumstances, I do not look at the appearance but the unseen which is the Kingdom of God and I live buy every word that the Holy Spirit tells me and my prayers are His prayers and my works come from God and I am not without anything. Glory to God!

Jesus Saves

Jesus Saves

Mat 1:21 “And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name JESUS, for He will save His people from their sins.”

Everything that God has for Christians is under the umbrella of “forgiveness of sins. Because our sins have been forgiven then we can have a complete and perfect salvation that covers our total being or life (body, souls, spirit and mind).

The most important thing about salvation is the fact that our sins have been forgiven. 1 John 2:2 and He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the whole world. Christ died on the cross to save us from sin, buried, and resurrected to give us eternal life. Jesus died for everyone and the only requirement for salvation is to believe.

https://christcrosscrucified.com/

John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. Those who believe in Jesus and His gospel are saved and have eternal life.

What does salvation include or what all did Christ die for? Hebrews 10:39 But we are not of those who draw back to perdition, but of those who believe to the saving of the soul. When we believe in Christ then our souls are saved. God gives us peace, joy and love in our hearts as well as eternal life.

What else does salvation mean? Romans 6:6 knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him (Jesus). Romans 6:4 Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life (new nature). Our old nature was crucified on the Cross when Christ died and after Jesus was resurrected then He gave us a new nature that does not give in to sin but lives in the righteousness of God. Christians become new people.

What else does salvation have? Mat 9:2 then behold, they brought to Him a paralytic lying on a bed. When Jesus saw their faith, He said to the paralytic, “Son, be of good cheer; your sins are forgiven you.”

Mat 9:5 “For which is easier, to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven you,’ or to say, ‘Arise and walk’?

Mat 9:6 “But that you may know that the Son of Man has power on earth to forgive sins”—then He said to the paralytic, “Arise, take up your bed, and go to your house.”

Mat 9:7 and he arose and departed to his house. Salvation is not only our souls have been saved but our bodies also. When someone sins have been forgiven then their body is healed also. 1 Peter 2:24 who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed. Christ death on the cross gives us healing for our bodies.

Salvation includes our spirits. Rom 8:16 The Spirit Himself (Holy Spirit) bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God. Even our spirits are renewed because of the work of the Cross. Jesus saves!

The salvation of God touches our minds also. Ephesians 4:23 and be renewed in the spirit of your mind, Ephesians 4:24 and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness. 1 Corinthians 2:16 we have the mind of Christ. We think like Christ when we become Christians and that is why we read and live by God’s written Word.

Salvation includes freedom from curses and blessings from God. Gal 3:13 Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”,

Gal 3:14 so that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith. In Abraham’s day, he was the richest man on the face of the earth and he had great health living to about 120 years. That is a good blessing to have.

Salvation gives us freedom from the devil’s workings in our lives. Col 2:14 and having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us, And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross.

Col 2:15 having disarmed principalities and powers (evil spirits), He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it (the cross). Hebrews 2:14 that through death He (Jesus) might destroy him who had the power of death, that is: the devil.
